OUr family is planning a trip to disneyland the week preceeding Christmas this year. I%26#39;ve read lots of responses that state Christmas week is horribly busy. Is this the week before or after? I am really looking forwards to the Park being decorated for the holidays.
The week before Christmas? Both weeks can be busy -however the week between Christmas and New Years is the busiest. Its a lovely time to go to the Park. Happy Hours and enjoy Disney!
The week before Christmas?Happy Holidays and Enjoy the Park!
Thank you, Mini. This helps me form a better strategy for our time.
Public school is still in session the week before Christmas because Christmas is on a Sunday. The kids are out of the school two weeks after, BELIEVE ME%26lt; it will be HORRIBLY crowded. I don%26#39;t know if you can enjoy. If you have money to waste, go, if you just want to enjoy the sights and have the feel of Christmas, go. If you want to ride lots of rides, have fun standing on line for many, many hours. It is difficult to walk it is so crowded. I went last Christmas, and am off to Hawaii this Christmas!
Thanx, Pradancer. This is a blessing for me because my children and myself get the week prior to Christmas off. I hope this means less crowds for us.
Even on a crowded day in Disneyland one can enjoy the Park... You might consider a Park Hopper and see California Adventure too..... Don%26#39;t forget to ride Soaring Over California.... Learn about the Fast Pass too.... that can save wait-time... The Downtown Disney Area (generally connects the two theme parks and the Disney Resort Hotels) is also nice to dine in and that area has provided an escape and a relief from the crowds in the park itself and you can come and go freely with a stamp on the hand...... It is great to actually stay at one of the Disney Resorts which increases convenience, although many of the hotels in the area are very accommodating to Park visitors and some are within an enjoyable walk. Christmas time is one of the most enchanting times at Disneyland.... You and your family will love it. We usually visit that time of the year too and we have never regretted it.

Pegs, this is so encouraging. I am truly excited and now not as apprehensive about the crowds. Thanx.
