Hi DL & DCA experts! Planning itinerary.

I have decided to visit DL %26amp; DCA in mid Dec instead of the busy Christmas week and hence reduce to a 3-day hopper ticket. Perhaps a 2-day hopper is also sufficient during that period? Will also be visiting LV %26amp; LA after.

I am not a very good planner and need help to plan an itinerary in DCA %26amp; DL to cover all rides and shows for 11 %26amp; 14 year kids. Which rides to go on first etc.. Would really appreciate it as we would not be coming back to Anaheim again so soon and would not want to miss out anything either.

Thank you very much in advance!

Hi DL %26amp; DCA experts! Planning itinerary.

If you have the time and money, I would go for the 3 day pass. We have always purchased the 5 day passes and have used them up for at least 4 of the days. DL and DCA are so big, having 3 days will ensure that you get the opportunity to go on everything. It will also give you the chance to return to your favourite rides. If you can manage the 3 days, there won%26#39;t be such a rush to make sure you get through everything as fast as you can and you won%26#39;t have to make choices of one ride over another.

There are probably rides in every section that both your 11 and 14 year olds will love. Similarly, there will be rides in some of the sections which they wouldn%26#39;t like as much. In DL, I would start in Tomorrowland (Star Tours, Space Mountain, Autopia, etc.) or New Orleans Square (Indiana Jones, Pirates, Jungle Ride, Haunted Mansion). After your done with those two areas go to Frontierland because that%26#39;s where SplashMountain is. After that you can choose the other areas like Fantasyland (Teacups, Dumbo, etc.) and ToonTown. In DCA, I would say that your 2 children would probably like all the rides, simply based on personal preference.

You%26#39;re right about the shows. Don%26#39;t miss them. Aladdin in DCA is fantastic. All seats are good.

Don%26#39;t forget to use the FastPass system. Even if you can get on one of the really popular rides (like Indiana Jones, SplashMountain or Soarin%26#39; Over California) early in the morning when the lines are short, get a FastPass for later so you can re-do the ride without waiting.

Hope these suggestions help some.

Hi DL %26amp; DCA experts! Planning itinerary.

hi,

Comoxbox made some good recommendations. I just came back from a 5-Day DL/DCA trip a couple weeks ago. I would say 3-day minimum is needed to thoroughly enjoy both.

I believe in December the shows (fantasmic, fireworks, parade and elelectrical parade, etc) are limited to certain days and times. I highly recommend you schedule your visit to coincide with the days and times they have those shows. They are all excellent. Don%26#39;t miss them if possible.

With a 3-day pass, you probably get ONE day of early entry to either park one-hour early before it is opened to all. For example, if DL is opened at 10am, then you get to enter at 9am. Some rides are opened already in that one hour, so you get to ride with short or no line. IF you like a particular ride, always get a fastpass for another chance to ride QUICK.

All the rides in DL are nice. In DCA, there is a Bugs Land and the rides are kiddie rides. Your 11 and 14 yo may fine them boring. So you could skip those rides if you want to. However, the Bugs life 3-D show in Bugs Land is fun for all ages. Watch that one.

Stay in DL/DCA from opening til closing if possible to maximize your days. YOu can always find nice places to rest inside the park if you are tired.

Have fun.

Thanks! 3 days it shall be!

We just returned from DL %26amp; DCA with a 3-day park hopper pass %26amp; that is a good choice. I HIGHLY recommend scheduling your itinerary with a program called Ridemax. You can check it out at www.ridemax.com. It will allow you to plan each day with breaks for shows or to eat or rest. We did this %26amp; had the most relaxing, fun vacation we%26#39;ve ever had. We didn%26#39;t have the stress like so many other families that were trying to choose what to do. It is around $15 %26amp; offers a money back guarantee. Make sure you know the show %26amp; times from the disneyland website so you can plan those in your day. We%26#39;ll be going again very soon because it was such a nice vacation.

Have a great time %26amp; ENJOY yourselves.

Booagain, this software sounds amazing! Can we use it again for other trips or just one trip? What about other theme parks like Walt Disney World etc?

If it can be used again, if we reformat our hard drive, would we be able to download the program again. Thanks!
