Wine tours

Any comments or recommendations on a 1/2 day wine tour in the Cambria area? Do the local wineries have restaurants?

Thanks for any comments.

I can now answer my own questions. The wineriers are small and very accomodating but no restaurants. 10 to 15 minute drive east of Cambria and we found quite a few small wineries.

Great place, especially if you want to get off the coast and get some summer heat.

We just returned from Cambria. When you exit Hwy. 101 to Hwy. 46 in Paso Robles, there were 10-15 wineries on the way to Cambria with tasting rooms. (Didn%26#39;t stop as we were travelling with children...) We did not see any restaurants but did see a few people with picnics on the side of the road. Cambria is not far and easy to get to for lunch before or after tasting. The drive was beautiful and we really enjoyed the mustard fields!

We only had time for one stop and chose ';Summerwood';. Very nice place and my wife enjoyed the 2002 Zin enough to buy a couple of bottles. At $24 that is out of her usual price range but that is the point of going there. It was only a couple of minutes west of hwy 101.
