Stay in Yosemite form September the 3rd to Sept. the 6th

Hi!

I am planning to visit Yosemit next week or week after. I am coming from the other side of the Atlantic see so I would be greattefull for your help and informations...We arrive on Avgust 26 and we will stay in San Francisco and Santa Clara for about 7 days. Then we are planning to visit Yosemite.

I had been looking up for different hotels on the internet but I could not decided which one is ';good'; - meaning is it close enough to Yosemite, price for 2 adults, do I have to buy a ticket to visit Yosemite every day if I stay there for more than one day - for example: if I stay in one of the hotels in Yosemite or if I drive few miles away to another hotel?

One more thing. What weather should we expect in all these three areas?

Thans!!!

Your Yosemite Pass of $20.00 is good for 7 consecutive days.

The period you have planned for Yosemite is during our National Holiday of Labor day which is the unofficial end of summer. Many families use this long weekend to get away. I would be really surprised if you could find any lodging during this time. There is no lodging in the park during this period as I check for you using the online reservation system for the Yosemite concessioner.

Weather and much more information:

www.nps.gov/yose/home.htm

www.yosemite.com for lodging mainly just outside the park. Look at the Park Entrance Hwys 140 (Cedar Lodge or Yosemite View Lodge) and 120 Links . Check everything out.

Also try www.4yosemite.com in Foresta inside the park

and www.yosemitewest.com see condos, cabins, and Falcon%26#39;s Nest or Yosemite Peregrine Bed and Breakfast

Some of these will be on the trip advisor hotel reviews for Yosemite here. Finding a place will be very hard so act now!!

I suggest you try to stay in ONE place ... just get the room now! If you look too far away at Mariposa (140) or Oakhurst(41) you will spend the day driving in and out! Not worth it.

If you find a place and have more questions post another question. We are here to help.

There are 12 properties listed on www.Yosemite-Lodgings.com, the closest only 2miles from the Big Oak Flat entrance, you might find some of these with availability. Also, when you find a property you like, it doesn%26#39;t hurt to keep calling, cancellations around holiday periods are not uncommon.

Have a wonderful time, where ever you stay.
