New orlean Jazz

I%26#39;m visiting in Sept (18th-24th) does anyone no anywhere that has new orleans style Jazz, my dad plays in the UK (trombone)and would really like to hear some. He is not into modern stuff, just wondered if anyone had any suggestions

Try this site. You may have to, once you get into town, call to some of the large jazz clubs to see if they have booked the kind of jazz that your father likes. Jazz at Pearls, in North Beach, is one. It%26#39;s a nice place for aficionados. Yoshi%26#39;s, across the bay near Jack London Square in Oakland is another ';headliner'; caliber club.
