Weather - first week in January

Hi

Can anyone remember what the weather was like first week in January this year. We are off to Florida Gulf Coast (as usual) this New Year coming however looking at a change of scenery for Dec2 2006/Jan 2007. We like to spend some time lazing by pool though and were hoping for temps in 70%26#39;s - is that unrealistic expectation?

Last year we had record rainfall in January and February. I%26#39;m hoping for better weather this year! In January our mornings are usually cool with the afternoons usually heating up for shorts and resort wear while it cools down the evening with jackets being needed.

January Max: 69.5 degrees Farenheit

January Minimum: 42 degrees Farenheit

January Rain: 1.16 inches

It could be in the 70s... the above are averages, so you never know!! I don%26#39;t think it is unrealistic for it to be in the 70s, but be prepared for cooler weather, in case.

Thanks for your help guys. I think it%26#39;s worth a gamble - averages seem similar to Florida at that time of year so we shouldn%26#39;t notice too much difference. From what I read I think we will start off at The Pepper Tree Inn but I need to do some more planning, so no doubt I will be back on this forum with more questions!
