Might splurge and stay here for a couple of nights. If I do, is it worth the price?
Any other favorite hotels on Coronado Beach??
Hotel Del Coronado, etc.Yes!! In my opinion, this is the best, the beach is the best, the hotel is beautiful and historic, and it is worth the price. Glorietta Bay Inn is also well reviewed, but the Hotel del Coronado is the grande damme of Coronado.
Hotel Del Coronado, etc.The Hotel Del is the crown jewel of SD... especially during Christmas when its all lit up... but its one of the best spots to catch a sunset, the whole Coronado area is gorgeous, and its a quick 10-minute drive over the bridge to downtown SD.
If you%26#39;ve got the money, go for it!!!! You won%26#39;t regret it!
please read the trip advisor reviews before u make your decision....there have been some very unhappy customers, myself included. it seems like a beautiful and historical place to visit but the rooms are very hit or miss and for the price we paid i could have stayed at the ritz or montage in laguna!
I didn%26#39;t stay there, but I was jealous of the people who seemed so happy over there. ; ) It really is beautiful.
If money isn%26#39;t an issue, I%26#39;d stay there.
However, we stayed at the Glorietta Bay Inn, and we were very happy. It is across the street from the Hotel Del...just about 30 steps away. Again, if money isn%26#39;t an issue, I%26#39;d stay in one of the Mansion rooms at the Inn, but by staying in a Standard room we saved about $3-400 than if we stayed at the Del, and we were happy with our choice.
The beach truly is the best!
