I took a trip to Tijuana from LA for my birthday - big mistake - it turned out to be the worst birthday ever. The website offered 4-6 hours shopping in Tijuana with a journey time of 2.5 hours there and 2.5 hours back. It ended up being a 4.5 hour journey time there a 4.5 hour journey back and about 2.5 hours worth of shopping time in an area that resembled Blackpool Promenade!. The long journey time was not down to traffic - it was down to the fact that we were picking up and dropping off passengers to other tourist attractions and also changing vehicles to accommodate more and/or less passengers.
The following morning I called the company and complained. They promised to look into it. After four months and numerous phone calls at my expense, I get a reply saying: while there is empathy for what you experienced, however, after a thorough investigation of all the facts, your request for a refund cannot be honored!
The only reason I got a reply was because I had to bypass the reservation center manager by writing a detailed letter to his superior.
There were two companies offering this tour. I would recommend booking the other company and steering well clear of this one.
The tours and the customer service are highly unprofessional.
