How far a drive is it from Hollywood to San Diego?
Is it worth it to stay a few days in San Diego. Or is it better to just do Hollywood and one of the beaches, say Laguna?
Would two nights in San Fran be fun??
Thanks all,
Natalie
LA to San Diego
We drove from Hollywood to Dana Point and enjoyed Laguna and Catalina...the drive was a little over an hour. And then we drove to Coronado...about an hour drive.
LA to San Diego
San Diego is worth more than a few days even.
With Seaworld, the Zoo, Coronado, and Old Town you can easily spend 4 or 5 days there.
If you%26#39;re thinking about driving to Laguna, then you might as well go to San Diego (don%26#39;t miss La Jolla). Laguna, without traffic, is about a 90 minute drive. If you continue on the same freeway (the 405), then it%26#39;s another 90 minutes to San Diego, although there%26#39;s a toll road you can take that cuts about 30 mins out of the drive.
If you%26#39;re in Hollywood, then you can go to any beach in Malibu, just take the 101 to Malibu Canyon or Topanga Canyon and cut across (it%26#39;s beautiful) to the beach. That%26#39;s about a 45 minute drive, without traffic. Drive home down Pacific Coast Highway to Sunset Blvd, which will take you back to Hollywood. Also about 45 mins, but it takes you through all the great neighborhoods (Pacific Palisades, Brentwood, Bel Air, Beverly Hills).
2 nights in SF is always fun, but only if you fly there or you%26#39;ll spend a day driving - I find that trip exhausting when I drive.
