The Orchard or The Omi

I鈥檓 looking for some advice as to where to stay in San Francisco. I鈥檝e seen two hotels that I quite like for my price range The Omi and The Orchard hotels. I want to be close to caf茅 culture and will be staying mid April Thursday to Sunday. Can anyone offer any advice as to which hotel is better quality and location? Also I would really appreciate if you could recommend any must sees whilst in the city.

Im assuming you mean the Omni. They are both nice hotels, but as far as loction, The Orchard is much better. It%26#39;s 2 blocks from Union Square and on the Powell Street cable car line. Shopping is very close by.

The Omni is located in the Financial Dist. Yes, there is a cable car stop outside the door, however it%26#39;s for the California Street line. The Omni is more out of hte way and it%26#39;s more quiet at night as it is, as I said, in the Financial District. Union Square is about 5 blocks away.

It depends on your preferences. The Omni is considered a 4 star, the Orchard is a 3.5 star. Read the reviews on this site --it should help you to make a decision.

The Orchard or The Omi

You have chosen two hotels in quite different areas. As a hotel the Omni is fine but just in the wrong place in most cases for a tourist as Saks has pointed out.

Union Square is in my opinion and many others the best place to stay. The Orchard is really just outside the immediate Union Square area and having stayed on Bush St. a couple of times it can be a bit of a pain climbing up the hill at the end of a day or night to reach your hotel.

However if I had to choose from the two I would pick the Orchard but would prefer to stay down the hill a little bit in Union Square.
