We have rooms here in April. How is this hotel? Is it nice? We%26#39;ll be flying from CT with 3 young children and would like to relax a bit, too. We also have a room at the Hilton Torrey Pines for 3 nights. Any thoughts and/or suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!

I like the Catamaran, it%26#39;s right on Mission Bay in Pacific Beach, and they have lots of activities. Safe area, lots to do in the vicinity, including the ocean beach right across the street. It%26#39;s an older hotel, but well kept and kind of a tropical feel. I think you%26#39;ll quite enjoy it with 3 children. Close to Seaworld, and convenient to a lot of other attractions. http://www.pacificbeach.org/

The Hilton Torrey Pines is upscale, on the bluff overlooking the ocean near the golf course - not as much to do in the immediate vicinity for children, but about a 10 minute drive to the beaches of Torrey Pines to the north or La Jolla shores to the South. Besides the beaches, I think your children might enjoy the nearby Birch Aquarium.

A bit further north are the beaches of Del Mar, and there%26#39;s a nice grassy area and playground for kids, plus it%26#39;s a really nice area to stroll around if you%26#39;re interested in that.

Thank-you so much for your input. The reviews are mixed...I thought the location was good, but couldn%26#39;t tell. I so appreciate the info on the Hilton, too. We may not stay there, but I have a free night...every bit helps!!
