Thanks for everyone%26#39;s help on previous posts. I need clarification on the best routes to take for the following:

From Torrance to Santa Monica

From Torrance to Laguna Beach

I would recommend going to Mapquest and typing in your starting and ending points (on the lower part of the page). You don%26#39;t need to put a complete street address in -- just the city and state. There are no real ';secrets'; to going to these places -- just be wary of rush hour (6 to 9 am and 3 to 7 pm).

No matter what, you%26#39;ll be driving on the 405 (north to Santa Monica, south to Laguna - and there%26#39;s an exit for Laguna Beach that you cannot miss). Take heed of HopSkip%26#39;s advice and avoid rush hour or your one hour drive to Laguna will be more like 2 hours.

Torrance to LB---just take the 405 all the way down (30 miles or so. Probably more). Then take the 133 south which is around Irvine. That%26#39;ll take you on a street through the hills of laguna. It is NOT a freeway so dont get freaked when you feel like you%26#39;re driving through the backwoods. The road ends at PCH in Laguna. Make a left and on your left will be downtown laguna! piece of cake.

Heading to Laguna Beach, you might want to consider an alternate route. I hate the 405, which too often is a parking lot. Jump on the 91 east and connect to the 5 south and then connect to the 133 south.
