What city should I visit? Help!

Hello - planning a trip to Cali in early May for a long weekend with three other females (late 20%26#39;s/early 30%26#39;s). We have no idea what city we should visit...looking for a mix of day time activity plus nightlife. Please advise!

What city should I visit? Help!

Possible:

San Francisco with a day trip to Napa or Sonoma for Wine Tasting and Spas!

West Hollywood/Santa Monica

San Diego/Gaslamp District for Evening

Weather in San Diego can be delightful in May!

What city should I visit? Help!

Since your time is very limited and it%26#39;s a long flight to the West Coast, you may want to concentrate on areas that are very close to major CA airports that you can get non-stop flights to from NY. That way you won%26#39;t be spending a huge hunk of your vacation time just trying to get to your ultimate destination. With all the constant changes the airlines are making in flight schedules and cities served, this may narrow it down quite a bit. Certainly, Los Angeles (LAX) and San Francisco (SFO) are the most obvious choices, but you can research what other flights there are out of JFK or Newark. In early May, No. Calif. can still be kind of cool, overcast and possibly rainy, so if you%26#39;re looking to get away from the cold and wet, So. Calif. may be the best location. San Diego, La Jolla, Laguna Beach are all great spots that have beaches, shops/galleries, walking/biking, and nite life. If you had a little more time, I%26#39;d recommend Santa Barbara.
