Tahoe in a few hours???

We are on a tight timeline - Death valley to Yosemite. We are staying at Lee Vining (Mono) onvernight (best Western) and I think maybe Jackson the next night because we want to be in Yosemite on the 14th of March for the full moon over Half Dome. So between Mono L and jackson on the 13th we have a few hours in Tahoe?? So what could we see around there?? I would say we would leave Mono about 9 am and want to be in Jackson before dark. I think we can be in Yosemite by early afternoon on the 14th? Thanks

For a quick stop, I would go up Kingsbury Grade from Gardnerville/Minden to South Lake Tahoe. Have breakfast or lunch $11.99) at the Forest Buffet on the top floor (18th) at Harrah%26#39;s casino - overlooking the lake. You can check out their website.

Then, definitely drive to Emerald Bay - and make a few stops in that area. And then head on to Jackson.
