Where to stay?

Me and my boyfriend are coming to California in September for 2 weeks on holiday. We want to visit Disney and Universal, and also Hollywood, Beverly Hills and all the usual tourist spots.

Where is the best place to stay (i.e. most central?) I don%26#39;t want to spend loads but would like somewhere I can walk to a restaurant or bar and feel safe.

thanks

Where to stay?

Hollywood would probably the best to stay esp if you will not be renting a car. It%26#39;s a safe area, have been there a variety of times to watch a play or movie and never had issues regarding safety. They%26#39;ve definitely improved it. Just get a hotel that%26#39;s close and walking distance to the Hollywood and Highland complex. Underneath is the redline train that can take you to Universal Studios one stop, or you can take it to Union Station and take the Amtrak to Anaheim(Disneyland).

There is a sticky on the LA Forum regarding %26#39;Most frequently asked questions%26#39; written by a couple of LA posters that gives you details of neighborhoods, what to do, etc. Have fun!
