napa/sonoma valley with 18 yr old

My husband, myself and 18 year old son will be traveling to wine country on a day trip this August. Should we plan to visit Sonoma or Napa Valley? Are there wineries that give tours that would be interesting for an 18 year old? Thank you.

Sonoma (Benzinger) is a good place for a tour.

Also (its not wine but the tour is fune) is the Busch Brewery Tour in Fairfield. They serve 2 big glasses of wine (would have soft drinks and pretzels for your son) and seeing the bottling line (amazing to watch) is quite fun. http://www.budweisertours.com/docs/calif.htm

For lunch, plan on having a picnic lunch at Viansa winery

http://www.viansa.com/. They have picnic supplies (sandwiches, etc.) you can buy. Its also a good place to see the views and get out and walk around. If you visit Napa valley instead, V Sattui is good for a picnic lunch (it will be busy but fun)....

Napa is also good and if go there, Niebaum Coppola (note: they haved changed their name to Rubicon Estates) has a good Museum to visit.

Also, check out what local events are going on when you visit...here is a good web site (more activities will be added as it gets closer to August:)
