Other Airport Options

I%26#39;m having trouble getting a frequent flyer flight from SFO to LAX. Heard there is an Orange County Airport. What is it called and what is there symbol? Also, how far a drive would it be to the Universal Studios area?

Appreciate your assistance!

Other Airport Options

If you are going to Universal Studios - Burbank (Bob Hope) Airport is the closest and easiest airport.

Also, there are usually very inexpensive fares on Southwest Airlines between Oakland %26amp; Burbank.

Other Airport Options

Is Oakland airport a lot further then SFO from Union Square?

Thanks!

Here are the Southern California airports:

- LAX (Los Angeles International Airport)

- SNA (John Wayne Airport aka Orange County - closer to DL than LAX, but further from Universal than LAX or Burbank)

- BUR (Burbank Airport, closer to Universal than LAX, but further from DL than LAX)

- LGB (Long Beach Airport further from Universal, but close to DL than LAX)

- ONT (Ontario International Airport - furthest from both Universal and DL)

If you were staying in the Anaheim area, a drive to the area Universal is in would probably take anywhere from 40 minutes (no traffic) to an hour and a half (heavy traffic). Going from Anaheim, you%26#39;ll probably take the 5 freeway, which can have heavy traffic on it as you get closer to downtown LA.

I can%26#39;t help with regard to Oakland vs. San Francisco airport.

I would suggest flying into Burbank (BUR) or Orange County (SNA). It takes about 20 minutes from SNA to the Disneyland Resort area in non-traffic peak times.

Both airports are small and you will be able to get in and out quickly.

Traffic may be an issue for Burbank and traveling to Universal Studios. Just remember from about 6-10 am and 3-7 are nightmare hours for north and southbound traffic between Anaheim and Burbank.
