I%26#39;m reposting this after realising that the last thread is too long.
We decided just a week ago to bring the kids to Los Angeles + Disneyland. I%26#39;ve spent 3 nights just trying to locate accommodation near/opposite Disneyland%26#39;s main gate so the kids can return to the unit %26amp; rest.
We%26#39;re flying in on 03/11/06 for 5 nights.6 in my group:2 adults + 4 kids (9,8,5%26amp;4). We only need 1 unit with kitchen facility %26amp; our budget is %26gt;USD150 per unit/per nite. Different time zone, so the kids will need food at ungodly hour.
Though my group seems large, my kids are small%26amp; skinny, plus my youngest girl still prefers to sleep with us.
Most places state that we exceeded the max number of children per room but those are exactly the room size we need. Any ideas?
Until we secure accommodation, I can%26#39;t plan anything else...Help!
Accommodation opposite Disneyland for family
There isn%26#39;t any hotel right across the street from Disneyland that meet your requirements.
The Residence Inn is somewhat close, but still a long walk.
Here is a photo map showing the distance is about 1 mile away.

In this corner are a few Hotel suites that come with a full kitchen.
Extended Stay is basic, Residence Inn is a bit nicer. La Qunita is also here, nit sure if they have a full kitchen though.
One note on these type of extended stay hotels with kitchens, you do not get daily maid service. They will stop in a couple of times a week to change linens and take out the trash, and if you stay more than a week, a full cleaning once a week (with the exception of the dishes, health code rules do not allow them to do those.)

We were in the same boat and we went to getawaytoday.com and found a great deal at the Howard Johnson. We have 2 adults and 4 kids (11, 10, 8 and 1) and we got 3 nights stay, plus 3 day park hopper tickets for a total of $733!! You can%26#39;t beat that deal, i have looked and looked.
We will be there the same time y%26#39;all are. However, the HOJO does not have a kitchen, your best best is calling the residence inn direct.
Could you get along with a small fridge and a microwave? If you don%26#39;t need the full kitchen, then there are a lot of hotels right across from the main gates that would work. Howard Johnson doesn%26#39;t have microwaves in most of their rooms, but several of the closer hotels do (Carousel, Tropicana, Park Place Inn, Desert Inn, etc) so you might look into that. With a stop at a grocery store for supplies and paper plates/cups, you could maybe make do.
I stayed at the Park Place Inn and Suites and really liked it. And it has minisuites for 6 people (2 queens and a pullout sofa)..if you didn%26#39;t need the pullout sofa, then you%26#39;d have extra room for sitting and eating.
Our friends just returned from a trip and enjoyed the Howard Johnson (plaza) very much. They said it was across the street, kid friendly and had a good view of the fireworks.
To one %26amp; all who%26#39;ve responded, many, many, many thanks for your advise.
It%26#39;s a great source of help.
