First time in San Francisco in July, considering staying in Hotel Vitale, Embarcadero, hotel looks great but is this the right area

You%26#39;re right by the Ferry Building and off San Francisco Bay. You%26#39;re one streetcar ride away from Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf and Union Square, and the cable car stops a block from your hotel. However, it%26#39;s not located in the heart of Union Sqaure or Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf, where most people prefer to stay.

It%26#39;s not ';wrong.'; Do you have some criteria that would confirm if it is right for you?

It depends on what you mean by the ';right'; area. If you want something that is central and literally steps away from shopping/cable cars, this isn%26#39;t it.

That said, the Vital is a nice hotel and the Embarcadero is removed from Union Square and Fisherman%26#39;s Wharf and it is not as touristy.

There isn%26#39;t a right or a wrong, it merely depends on your preferences.
