Still on here waffeling back and forth over which hotel to stay in for our family trip June 11th - 15th.....We are traveling with 6 people....three being children ages 6, 9, 11...swimming pool is important to them....any suggestions as to hotels with the best pools?? We are considering staying at the Best Western Park Place in a mini suite....simply because it is across the street from pedestrian walkway and we can stay in one room ( mini suite).....any other suggestions?? Booking two rooms somewhere was costing us double what one suite was costing?? Also, is it better to book hotel and buy tickets to Disneyland seperately or to buy a package from Disneyland or Getawaytoday, etc......?? My brain is just tired!
Best swimming pools??
I haven%26#39;t been to many of the pools, but the Disneyland Hotel has probably the best, very well themed. Both the Paradise Pier and Grand Californian have pools with slides.
The Howard Johnson%26#39;s actually have two pool areas, one is more of an adult pool with lots of trees surrounding it, the Main pool area has a large pool, a kiddie splash area with fountain, and a nice big hot tub.
Some people can find a better deal getting the hotel separately, instead of a package.
GetAwayToday is actually an authorised Travel Agent that sells Walt Disney Travel Company products, the same things that Disneyland.com sells.
Many folks don%26#39;t mind paying a few dollars for the benefit of someone like GetAwayToday to do the bargain hunting for them. I would do a quick check for comparison to make sure, and then go with the package for the few added benefits if the price is close.
Best swimming pools??
Thanks so much for all of your help!
I booked through getawaytoday for our Oct. 2005 and could not have been more thrilled. We stayed in a suite at the Hampton Inn for $103/night. Their rate on Hampton Inn%26#39;s site was $189/night. I will definately book through them again. Also, if you are going to do a character dinner, it%26#39;s cheaper through getawaytoday. It cost us(5) $126(including gratuity), but if we would have waited and paid there, it would have cost $137 plus we would have to tip on top of that. Pakg. deals are definately the way to go.
IF you can%26#39;t afford the Disnelyland Hotel or Grand which I agree definitely have the BEST pools in the area, wataersllides, caves, waterfalls, and all, then try the Anaheim marriott. It is large.
