Hello,
We finally booked our holiday to San Francisco (and now I%26#39;ve got my new passport, but I couldn%26#39;t work out how to change my name!) So we%26#39;re just trying to plan our trip now.
We%26#39;d like to see the above three and wondered how realistic it would be to fit them all into one day? They all seem on the same sort of route if we%26#39;re heading north, is that right?
Could we hire a car somewhere in SF for a day to drive up there, or are we better off using a tour?
Thanks all
Sausalito/Muir Woods/Napa Valley
Yes, you can rent a car for the day, but this trip requires an early start and not a great deal of time to savor it. Allow 90 minutes to get back from Napa area, to return the car. An alternative would be to do just Muir Woods and then on to Napa Valley. Perhaps on a different day, take the ferry to Sausalito and back, where you could have a leisurely lunch and get a mini bay cruise at the same time. It%26#39;s a great way to go there, very relaxing and no parking worries.
