What is the ferris wheel in Long Beach that you see on the web cam?
Ferris Wheel
it has many, many years since Long Beach has had a ferris wheel (the original Pike..or what was left of it...closed in the late 70%26#39;s). Off the top of my head...there is a ferris wheel located on Balboa Island (Newport Beach) and another on the Santa Monica pier. What web cam do you happen to be looking at?
Ferris Wheel
A webcam that I think is on top of city hall is what it says. I get it to it by going to cruise-addicts.com.
first of all I did not write my first response very clearly....Long Beach has not had a ferris wheel since the original Pike era. I went on the website you provided but it was dark at the time so I was not able to see anything.
http://www.cruise-addicts.com/camstation/cam32.php) Does this happen to be the web cam you are speaking of? If so..are you talking about the botton left hand side? If you are (and if my bearings are correct) I believe what you are seeing is the top part of The Pike ';Roller Coaster Bridge';, it spans over the roadway and was made to look like the old roller coaster that use to be a huge attraction down in Long Beach years ago (to see a full pic. of it go to the following website: http://www.gossamersf.com/projects.html

It%26#39;s anew Ferris Wheel. It%26#39;s ok, fairly good views form the top.
why thank you VickiSoCal for the information (and I apologize for the mis-information tmcipp). I will now have to speak to my friends in Long Beach and ask them why they have never mentioned it before.
