Budget/ Cheap Hotels in LA

Hi

I%26#39;m spending a week in LA in March.

I%26#39;m looking for suggestions and recommendations for cheap hotels or Motels around LA. 2 guys so will need a room with 2 beds!

I will be hiring a car and would like to stay in a few different hotels in different locations, all depending on where we end up.

Budget/ Cheap Hotels in LA

You might want to look into Hollywood. Hollywood Orchid Suites is a popular budget hotel on this forum. There%26#39;s also Comfort Inn at N. Highland Ave, Holiday Inn Express at La Brea. Both of these hotels are also located in Hollywood.. All 3 are close and within walking distance to Hollywood and Highland which is in the center of the Hollywood attractions. There%26#39;s also a metro redline train underneath Hollywood and Highland.

I also like Santa Monica, but hotel rates in that area are higher. The more reasonable and more popular one on this forum is the Ambrose Hotel, Santa Monica. Or another option if you%26#39;d like to visit the South Bay beaches for a few days is staying in and around Hermosa Beach/Manhattan Beach(which are also nice beaches in LA). There%26#39;s a bunch of motels in that area within reasonable price. For example, the Sea View Inn is in a great location in Manhattan Beach and rates are pretty reasonable.

Budget/ Cheap Hotels in LA

Great recommendations from the prior poster. The Hollywood hotels will give you easy access to Hollywood, Universal City, downtown, the Sunset Strip and Beverly Hills. The Sea View is great access for the Beaches: Manhattan Beach, Hermosa, Redondo.

Another possibility is to stay on the %26#39;west side%26#39; (a little inland from Santa Monica). This will give you easy access to Santa Monica, Brentwood (home of the hilltop Getty Museum), Westwood (home of UCLA), Century City, etc. A modest but popular place is:
