I made reservations at La Serena Inn for a few days in Sept. Would appreciate opinions on this hotel. Thank you.
La Serena Inn
This may not mean anything - but I%26#39;ve never heard of it. Where is it bcassi52? I%26#39;ll find out about it.
La Serena Inn
Gourmand, the address is 990 Morro Avenue and the website is: http://www.laserenainn.com/.
Thanks for your assistance!
I finally found La Serena Inn. It sits about four or five blocks from the ocean and the Embarcadero. It has covered parking and is several floors. The top floor may have views of the ocean. I would not make this my first choice of a hotel here, but if you are getting a good deal and if what you really need is just a simple hotel and you want to spend your money on shopping and meals, then you should be fine.
You will be close to Carla%26#39;s Country Kitchen and this is a locals favorite for breakfast. Just a tip for you.
Gourmand - thanks for the intel on La Serena Inn. Really appreciate your efforts. I will let you know how good or bad after my visit. Thanks for the breakfast recommendation. It will be a definate.
bcassi,
Just so you know, I used to live in LA for a decade and based on the great restaurants there we really have nothing to compare. So when I tell you to go to Carla%26#39;s its a small country style place with lots of food per plate and all is good. I like the scrambled eggs with cream cheese and green onions. Also, the pancakes at Dorn%26#39;s are outstanding!
For stupendous food (dinner) be sure to visit Hoppes in Cayucos, Madonna Inn (their steak house) in SLO, Cafe Roma for Italian in SLO is excellent, or Black Cat in Cambria.
