gayfriendly bars&restaurants

hello, i%26#39;ll be in SF from next week for ten days. I%26#39;ve already gone in SF three years ago and i loved it! Do you know gay friendly bars and restaurants, but not ghetto sites? thanks

The answer, pretty much anywhere. SF is a very tolerant city and gays are much a part of its fabric. You should feel comfortable almost anywhere.

Bars may be a bit categorized, but restaurants not so much. Check these sites.

I agree with Girasol, most places in SF are gay friendly.

Obviously your best bet is to explore the Castro, but most of the clubs that have events on the weekends are located in the South of Market neighborhood. When you get here just pick up one of the weekly newspapers (Bay Guardian / SF Weekly / Bay Area Reporter -BAR) to find out what is happening at the various clubs while you are here. The bars are open nightly, but the clubs have events usually Thursdays through Sundays. You%26#39;ll also find flyers at various stores throughout the Castro that advertise what clubs are going on in the near future.

If you%26#39;re here this weekend the Bear fair will be happening on Harrison- but really, unless you are specifically looking for gay ';districts'; like the Casttro, I can%26#39;t imagine there being any bars and restaurants in SF that aren%26#39;t gay friendly!! (I think here the greater problem is for visitors who aren%26#39;t accustomed to being around a gay population being afraid of accidentally going to a gay bar!!)

The gay friendly neighborhood is of course, Castro, but as mentioned, a lot of gay clubs are down in SOMA. As also mentioned, pick up a SF Weekly or SF Bay Guardian to look at the list. Or I%26#39;m sure if you go to the Castro and ask around, you%26#39;ll find out some good gay bars and restaurants to go to.

Don%26#39;t forget the Mission district which is near The Castro. There are some wonderful restaurant choices there. Ti Couz for fabulous crepes and Limon which is Latin Fusion.

For a gay club which I hear is one of the best in the city, not just for the gay crowd, is the Endup, on 6th and Harrison.
