Just starting my research on where to go/stay. Where do I begin!? So much information! Not sure whether to stay in Napa or Sonoma - how different are they from each other? Does it matter if we fly into San Franciso or Oakland? Neither of us have been to San Francisco either, maybe we%26#39;ll do a day trip there? I%26#39;m going with a girlfriend - we enjoy nice dinners, a decent play to stay, and some nightlife. We%26#39;re not wine experts, just enjoy wine and nice scenery. We%26#39;re not looking to spend top dollar, but want to enjoy a nice, 3 night, 4 day vacation in mid October. Any suggestions from experts are welcome!!
First Time to Wine Country
If it is convienient to fly into and out of Oakland, do so. Easier to get to from Napa.
