Just wondering how cold Yosemite area would be in early Dec?
We are staying in SF for a few days and can%26#39;t wait to see Yosemite.
Should we pack some heavy weight coat?? scarves etc??
Given that we are Queenslanders, we are very rarely cold in our own natural habitat!

Yes, you will need layers. Even if it is not snowy yet in the Valley, the temperatures at night can drop to near freezing and frost can be on the ground. Are you planning on staying in Yosemite for a night or two? If so, have you got reservations?If you were to end up at Curry Village you would likely be cold at night if in the tent cabins!
I suggest you read the hotel reviews of all the properties in and around Yosemite Valley here on Trip Advisor before deciding and choose the most comfortable one within your price range. In December, the days are short and you will spend more time in your room than you would in the long summer evenings.
