I'm back! Great Visit! Beautiful Weather!!

Thanks to everyone for all the help while planning our trip. I%26#39;ll write a detailed trip report (probably tomorrow). For now, the best advice I can give for those planning a trip is to study the muni routes before you go and get a multi-day passport. We got our monies worth twice over with the passports and learned that you can%26#39;t depend solely on the cable cars and trollies -- the buses were usually the best bet.

I%26#39;m already missing the weather there since I am watching the hurricane head our way. I%26#39;m just north of New Orleans. We are soooo happy we didn%26#39;t plan our return trip for tomorrow (Sunday) since Delta has canceled all flights.

Good point- anyone who wants to complain about the fog can think about the other weather alternatives that you%26#39;ll never expereince here.. hurricanes, snowstorms, ice storms...I guess there are things worse than fog!

I%26#39;d love some input about your trip. We will be going in mid October (also on to wine country). I noticed in your post that we have alot of the same sights we%26#39;d like to see (we are doing Alcatraz though). We however, only have a day %26amp; 1/2. What were the highlights of your trip?
