HI!
We are due to go to Disneyland late October.
First what will the weather and therefore the crowds be like?
We have 2 kids ages 1 and 3 years and want to make the most of our one day there without tiring all of us out. (we are staying at the Carousel Inn - heard it is close) What rides should we focus on and how busy do they get? My son is the impatient older one! Thanks!
1 day only at disneyland - kids 1 and 3 years
Htio Fantasyland 1st - those lines move very slow and it will get crowded as the day goes on. Dumbo is the slowest line and Small World moves the fastest.
Winnie the Pooh is great fun - but they do have fastpass - although we have always been able to walk straight on.
Toon town will be a bit old for you 1 year old - but your 3 year old will enjoy some of it. I would avoided though Roger Rabbits wild ride - too many flashing storbe lights and loud noises.
If you are going on a weekday - it will not be too bad, esepcially if you get there as the park opens. October can be hot (due to the Santa Ana winds) or could be overcast - it is very hard to predict - our weather has been so weird this year. We have had a very cold summer for us.
Also, make sure to bring some snacks - it is a lot to take in and the kids get hungry faster and then are prone to meltdowns (been there, down that) so we feed them before they say anything because they do not want to stop ever.
Have lots of fun.

I dont think disneyland can be done in 1 day. there are some really neat things for your 3 year old to do. The crowds are nuts but there are lots of neat things to do. the fireworks is awsome show and so is the electrical pararde but the electrical parade is in california adventure, but for the fire works you have to get there early
It is rarely very cold or rainy in October, but is sometimes hot and windy. Usually Oct. is quite nice and the crowds are minimal. Some rides might be closed...they%26#39;ll post on the website. With children that young, midweek would really be a good idea. 1 day might be OK since your kids are too young for a lot of the bigger rides. The park is really fairly small. LOTS of snacks...I agree! I suggest a nap at check in time if the park isn%26#39;t closing very early.
