Hello all! This is a little last minute, but I will be in San Diego on September 1st - 5th. My husband turns 29 while we are there on September 4th. I%26#39;d like to plan something special for the night. It will be just us (no kids). So far, we will be doing a dinner cruise on Thursday night, dinner at Sushi Ota on Friday night, Saturday maybe the wine country and I was thinking Sunday for his birthday we could go to the beach (don%26#39;t know which one yet) and go out that night for dinner and dancing.
Any suggestions? I asked him what he wanted to do and he said it was up to me. I don%26#39;t want to disappoint :)
Thanks!

My favorite beach is at the Hotel Del Coronado - don%26#39;t know where you%26#39;re staying though, but if you%26#39;re downtown, it%26#39;s just a ferry ride across the bay. There are lots of wonderful restaurants in the Gaslamp District where you could go after a day at the beach.

Trying to Plan a Romantic Birthday for husband
Just a couple recommendations:
Downtown/balboa park: The Prado - romantic setting, great food, great service. They handle special occasions very well!
Downtown/balboa park: Bertrands at Mr. A%26#39;s - Dinner on the 12th floor with downtown views. Great food, great view.
Downtown/gaslamp: Blue Point Coastal Cuisine - Good seafood, very nice ambiance, great service.
La Jolla: Georges at the cove - great food, great view. On the water in La Jolla.
La Jolla: Marine Room - same as above. Consistently voted the best restaurant in San Diego. Expensive.
