reasonably priced hotels

i%26#39;m planning a wine tasting trip for my mother and am having trouble deciding on a hotel. i%26#39;d preferably like it to be reasonably priced and have a great location. what%26#39;s close to ynez valley? does anyone have any recommendations?

Try some of the hotels in Buellton. They are only a few minutes to the Santa Ynez Valley and possibly cheaper. Also are you looking in Solvang as well? Solvang and Santa Ynez are almost like one town, right next to each other but probably a bit more than Buellton.

Good luck!

Hi Seoul,

It all boils down to what your version of reasonable is....

For instance, it might not seem the cheapest choice, but the Petersen Village Inn in Solvang is immaculate, cute and the staff is friendly and helpful.

They have some great mid-week deals which include not only breakfast and dinner in their gourmet dining room, but sometimes they have other deals like wine tasting coupons, on site wine tasting, etc. The packages are usually around $250 per week for a king room, which isn%26#39;t the cheapest room around, but when you consider what you get with it, it might be the kind of deal you%26#39;re looking for. They also have a lot of mid-week specials, which start under $150 this time of year. I believe their web site is peterseninn.com

Also check out the Royal Scandinavian, which is also in Solvang. Less ambiance, but clean and well located for wine country. I think you could get a good deal there, possibly under $100 midweek in later Sept.
