When we visit Disneyland in September the only time the Fantasmic show and the Fireworks are on is the Friday night. Fantasmic is on at 9.00pm and the fireworks at 9.25pm. Is there any way we are going to be able to see both. Whereabouts would be the best place to see the Fantasmic show and then get to somewhere we can at least see some of the fireworks? Any suggestions?
Fantasmic and fireworks
The fireworks start immediately after the Fantasmic show ends. There is no time to run over to Main Street to watch them, esp. with all the crowds for Fantasmic that you%26#39;ll have to fight through, and then more crowds at Main Street.
If you want to see both, your best option is to just stay put at New Orleans Square/Rivers of America area, and watch the fireworks from there. As long as you have a spot that affords you a clear view of the skyline east of Big Thunder Mountain, you%26#39;ll be able to see most of the fireworks.
You will miss all the stuff happening at the Castle (Tink flies back and forth, and some of the fireworks frame the castle), but at least you%26#39;ll see the fireworks.
There%26#39;s just no way to get from Rivers of America/New Orleans Square to Main Street in any reasonable amount of time, due to the large crowds at both Rivers of America and Main Street locations.
If you really want to see the fireworks from Main Street, you%26#39;ll have to forgo Fantasmic.
Fantasmic and fireworks
princess, I saw somewhere on this site that the fireworks are on Fri/Sat nights. We%26#39;re there in sept also and have been looking for the same info. Hopefully the info above is correct and then you won%26#39;t have to forego one or the other. Sounds like you don%26#39;t want to miss the fireworks if you had to make a choice. Bit of a shame, would like to know why they reduce the days and times at this time of year.
princess, have just checked a site and it says ';Dreams come true'; fireworks are Fri/Sat 9.25pm and the Fantasmic on Sat. 17/9 is 9.00 and 10.30pm, Sun/Frid 9pm. Web site is:- www.disneyland.disney.go.com and hit the ';todays calendar'; on the left. This should get you to it. You need to key in your dates and bingo, up it all comes. Good luck. If that doesn%26#39;t work post back and i%26#39;ll look at the web configuration properly.
princess..
i just got back from there and because its the 50th anniversary the fireworks are every night and so is fantasmic. But there are 2 shows for fantasmic. 9:00 %26amp; 10:30 and the fireworks are at 9:25 so there is a way you can do both but i recommend doing them on 2 different days because then u are guarenteed good seats for both
Fireworks are nightly for the summer only. After Labor Day they go back to weekends only, just like every year. I live within hearing distance and know the schedule well!
You definatley want to watch the fireworks in front of the castle. There are great special effects with the castle as a backdrop, you will miss alot watching from New Orleans Sq.(I have watched from both spots). Fantasmic is also a great show. I highly reccommend seeing them on seperate nights and camping out early for the best spots. It seems like a hassle, but it%26#39;s so worth it when you and your kids can see everything.
For Fantasmic you want to be dead center to Tom Sawyers island. For the fireworks you want to be on the sidewalk in front/center of the castle. Just put out your blanket a couple hours early. There are lockers to store your blanket/jackets in until you need them. Don%26#39;t feel silly plopped down on the sidewalk, believe me everybody else who%26#39;s in the know will be doing it too! People are generally really polite too, I always end up striking up a friendly chat with the person on the blanket next to ours.
Have fun!
Sorry. What I should have said is that we are only going to be there from Monday to Friday so the only time Fantasmic and the fireworks are on is the friday night. There is no possible way I can see them on 2 different nights%26gt;i was just asking what the best way to see both was.
Not a Fantasmic or fireworks question but seeing as some experts have been reading this post, can someone tell me how to find out what days DL opens early, for the early admission you get with a park hopper ticket.
I did post this question a day or two ago but no-one responded.
I%26#39;ve looked on the website but didn%26#39;t find it, maybe I wasn%26#39;t looking in the right place??
Princess-- previous postings are correct, you can%26#39;t do both! Unless by some miracle the park is empty, then you%26#39;d have to run like maniacs from New Orleans Square to the front of the castle. If you don%26#39;t want to forgo Fantasmic, do as suggested and stay put after fantasmic for the fireworks. Do camp out early for the best spot!
Have fun!
