I need a little help organizing my 1 1/4 days in SF. We will arrive at 10 am on a Sat. in Oct. These are things I%26#39;d like to do %26amp; see in somewhat this time frame. AM ride cable car to Fisherman%26#39;s wharf, rent bikes to Palace of fine arts %26amp; wave organ then continue on embarcadero to Ferry Plaza %26amp; back to FW to return bikes (42 yrs old...am I gonna die?) Walk down (or catch muni) to cafe trieste then walk to Chinatown, take public transport to Haight Ashbury return to hotel for much neeeded shower. Alcatraz PM tour, dinner in North Beach, night cap at Top of the Mark, walk through Chinatown back to hotel--crash!
Sunday AM Pub. transport to Golden Gate Park or we will have a rental car at this point, wasn%26#39;t sure about parking, drive down Lombard from there we%26#39;re heading to Napa. First off we%26#39;re on a budget (I%26#39;m packing a jar of peanut butter) so nothing to pricey except for the Alcatraz tour. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated, things to edit things I missed. Open to any %26amp; all suggestions.
Thanks much!

so much to see, so little timeRobo- way to go! This is sounding good! You can really pack it in! SInce you%26#39;re here on a Saturday, I%26#39;d suggest you start your bike ride in the direction of the ferry plaza, where you can catch the farmer%26#39;s market and pick up a gourmet picnic to have when you arrive at the Palace of Fine Arts. Tha tway you get a bit of a gourmand experience without breaking the bank . I think you%26#39;ll find the ride to be just fine- it%26#39;s flat all the way. It%26#39;s a great way to get a good taste of SF in a short amount of time.
I%26#39;m not sure if you%26#39;ll want to make it all the way to Haight Ashbury on your first day, since you have the Alcatraz tix. Stick with North Beach and CHinatown, so you can really take you r time to see everything along the way. Why not do the Haight the morning of the second day, and you can also see some of GG PArk while you%26#39;re there.
